The Doyle Clan have always been regarded as a hospitable bunch and one strand of the clan have taken their welcoming nature to a global audience under the guise of The Doyle Collection Hotel Group.

When Paschal Vincent (affectionately known as PV) Doyle opened the doors of The Montrose Hotel in Dublin in 1964 his vision was to create a luxury hotel experience that was above and beyond that of other hotel establishments.

His drive to create a business which was based on “the application of clever thinking, a determined work ethic, passion for the business and an extraordinary commitment to excellent service and hospitality” was forthright in the expansion of the organisation.

More than four decades later and The Doyle Collection is now renowned as one of the top luxury hotel groups in the world with properties operating across the globe in top cities such as Dublin (The Westbury & The Croke Park Hotel), London (The Marylebone, The Bloomsbury & The Kensington), Washington (The Dupont Circle, The Normandy & The Courtyard Washington) and Boston (The Back Bay Hotel).

The Doyle brand continues to grow ever more successful with properties in historic Cork city (The River Lee) and the city of Bristol (The Bristol Hotel) in England’s picturesque West Country.

Heart-warmingly, PV Doyle’s daughters are now carrying on his legacy with Bernie Gallagher (Chairman), Anne Roche and Eileen Monahan (Director) sitting on the board of The Doyle Collection – all no doubt ensuring that the famous hospitable Doyle nature is implemented across their worldwide hotels along with the equally famous shrewd business sense of the wider Doyle Clan!
